About Tia Rebman

Office Manager

Tia Rebman joined Merrigan Legal as a paralegal/office manager in 2021, bringing over 10 years of experience assisting attorneys and paralegals with complex litigations in various areas of law. On our team, Tia assists with the case management of Defense Base Act claims at both the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs and the Office of Administrative Law Judges. She also serves as the office manager and is responsible for multiple aspects of our office administration.

Tia began her legal career in 2011 as a file clerk right out of high school. Her ability to consume knowledge and put into practice the skills that she learned helped her to rise to the rank of legal assistant in just a year. She enjoys a challenge and has worked in several areas of law, including medical malpractice and nursing home claims, PIP claims, real estate/eviction law, and government legislation and administration.

For the last several years of her career, she has worked for firms on the aid of injured workers whose claims fall under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and its extension, the Defense Base Act. She is passionate about assisting injured workers to navigate their claims while they obtain the necessary medical treatment to get better.

In 2021, Tia joined as a member of the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group to aid in continuing her education so she may continue to be an asset when assisting with these claims and work towards becoming a certified paralegal.

Outside of work, Tia enjoys reading, and learning new skills, in addition to traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She resides in sunny northeast Florida with her husband.
